This should be mildly sour (not too sour) and tastes very good with with rice as well as roti.

- Half cup of split green gram
- 250gms of vegetables. Pick any one of these: Cabbage or Indian Beans or Long Squash or Cucumber or Ribbed gourd or Carrots or Eggplant
- 100 gms of raw mango - grated or small cubes (or 1 tsp of aam choor powder)
- 5-6 green chillies, ground
- Half cup of fresh grated coconut
- A quarter tsp of salt

How to prepare:
- Cook the green gram till its tender
- Cook the cubed or sliced vegetables and raw mango until they are tender
- Mix the vegetables and lentil in a cooking pot. Add the green chillies and cook for a couple of minutes.
- If you are using the aam choor powder, add it now along with salt.
- Turn the stove off and add a half cup or so chopped coriander leaves, curry leaves, and the coconut and mix well.
- When done, this dish should have a little gravy, not too watery.
