Vegetables with Chana Daal

- You can cook a whole bunch of vegetables using the Stir Fries method and adding a half-cup or so chana daal and create a whole new and interesting recipe

- Either add the daal to the recipe directly or soak them for 5-10 minutes. Add these to the pan along with the rest of the vegetables.

- Some vegetables that work greatly with chana daal are:

             carrots
             broccoli
             gourds such as ribbed gourd, long squash etc
             beetroot
             spinach

- You can add coconut or roasted and grounded peanuts or sesame seeds if you want a fried look for your vegetables

- Alternatively, you can add a half cup of milk or yogurt if you want a gravy texture.

- You can also add cubed Firm Tofu to add extra nutrition to the recipe.
